Description
New factory style electric fuel pump for Datsun 240Z and 260Z, 1970-74. This fuel pump is for cars with carburetors (not for fuel injection). Works great with stock SU type carbs and aftermarket. Provides 2.5-4 psi so that no regulator is required. This fuel pump can be mounted in a small space, best spot is right in front of the fuel tank. Simple 12V 2-wire hookup, will require splicing of wires for 12V connection.
Switching from stock manual fuel pump to an electric free's up drag on the engine and cleans up the engine bay. A fuel pump block off plate will be needed to close off the mechanical fuel pump cavity.
* We occasionally see new fuel pumps fail and most of the time it is because of debris in the tank clogging or damaging the pump. We recommend a fuel filter between the tank and pump such as the 800-628 or 800-1785.
